Because a few clients have asked about blogging, and appropriate systems for their needs i've been playing with some standard systems, blogger and WordPress at the moment, Blogger seems ok but a bit limited, Wordpress however is superb.
Wordpress
It claims you can implement the system in 5 minutes, and even with the fact it was the first time for me I did so! Configuring the system took a while longer, mainly because I was playing with the additional themes and widgets.
The CMS runs on windows or apache - it just needs PHP and a MYSQL server. After setting up the system you can add themes which switch the style of the site and plug-ins or 'widgets' which allow you to include additional functions such as implementing a flickr feed or random headers or including your spreadshirt catalog page and much much more.
Cost
I've been able to get the cost down to £96+vat per year and £62.50 for renewals, this includes assistance setting up the Wordpress system and an advanced mailbox . Contact me if your interested
Site Update
Most of the layout and design is done and ready to implement, structure has been finalised and ready
Looking now to iron out the bugs in the CMS
